i’ve been very blessed to have experienced so much in life and reach an age where so many people say I should tell my stories. This is my first effort at getting messages out about some of my life experiences. I grew up in Oklahoma and while I will talk about my childhood at a later date, my first experience to discuss in this blog is being in a motor scooter accident

. I was on my way home from high school on my very beautiful Mustang! Mustang was considered one of the best if not the best scooter for cool high school kids. I had talked to my parents into a moped when I was 12 years old after having built a very rudimentary go kart. My first experience with the police was at 10 years old on my go kart —more about that story later. On my way home to change clothes and put on my football uniform to go back for practice, a fellow turned in front of me and my life changed forever. I never knew what hit me however, I learned that a truck turned in front of me making a delivery and I put a 6 inch dent in the side of his truck with my front tire and a 9 inch with my head. I was not expected to live. Besides a broken left leg, shattered right leg, additional fractures, cuts and wounds, the doctors main concern was that my head was the size of a basketball and how much brain damage was I going to have. Keep in mind that I’m telling you this story 64 years after the accident. The impact this had on me in my future life was significant. This is the beginning of the stories of the tarnished Knight!
